I have only experienced that once with my 2011 SS manual. I was showing off a bit as I rolled into a cruise night and rev'd the engine and rode the clutch . I could smell it but was surprised how easy it was to burn the clutch because I did not go nuts with it just a little showing off.

I only smell mine when backing it onto my service ramps. I don't slip the clutch much at all.

Normal when new, it goes away after awhile. It IS a strong smelling clutch though.

Yes you did or you wouldn't have smelled it. The smell is from slipping the clutch.

Spoke to a guy today who deals with performance mods for all kinds of cars. He mentioned something about the clutch reservoir and brakes using the same fluid for our Camaros, and it has led to problems. He noticed it when he would get into his vehicle and the clutch was half way to the floor.

Don't quote me verbatim but I know there are a few threads out there about this...and it may not even be related to what your issue is....just thought I'd let you know what I was told.

How many miles are on it? As stated, when new, mine would smell the first 1,200 miles or so. After that, haven't smelled it since.

The bell housing between the engine and transmission is vented, hence why you can smell your clutch more.
