Got my first speeding ticket today I got clocked by a PLANE going 69 in a 55...which is bs. The officer wouldnt tell me how fast till after he wrote the ticket. I guess you have to pay the cost to ride nice NSP

I believe in paying the fine- but only if you're guilty. I'd contest that for sure. A plane. Really? OK then, they can back that up if it's legit. If its not, then its a BS ticket

I've never seen that before. I've read signs like that but never seen what kind of plane would click speed. Is it a RC plane? A manned air craft? Mark III?!?!

Speed enforcement by Aircraft is stupid. That's worse than Photo Enforcement IMO.

AC= Air Craft
Fixed wing= airplane (helicopters are 'rotary wing')

under 15 mph does not get reported to INS. co. so he was BS'ing you to make himself look good, also Yes aircraft is used \, here in Fla.. my fellow club member got one on I-75 2 months ago...(yes guilty, and pled it down with a lawyer) but AirCraft are used at times.

they used to have it here in VA, but discontinued it due to the cost of running it. but the plane doesn't actually hit you with radar. what they do is paint two wide white lines (visible from the air) across the road about a 1/2 mile apart. they then time how long it takes you to go from one line to another, and knowing the distance, calculate your speed. they then radio down to a patrol car to pull you over.

usually it's done with helicopters and on interstates.

had no idea they waste money on that type of stuff no wonder why we have to pay 10% of car value when registering for plates here...what happened to old fashioned police work... sit on the side of the road with coffee, donuts and a radar gun
