315s are way too wide for a 20x9.... Not a good idea

Yep way to wide you should have a 10.5 to 11 inch wide rim.

What I mean by unsafe is that you could easily blow a bead. 295 is even pushing it. Take it REALLY easy. The $1000 or so you save on wheels isn't worth risking wrecking your $35k car and your life...

What they mean is you are stretching the tire too much for the smaller rim and it's very unsafe but it's your car do what you want you need to be running a 10.5-11" rear rim for tires that size.

the tire shop where ever you took it should have recognized that and not have installed them.... in time you will blow a bead and ruin the tires and rims. Minimum should be a 10.5 inch wheel for safe use with 315s.

Probably not due to the fact that the nittos run small. That 315 is no wider than some other manufactures 295.

You have a 9" wheel on the rear? Dont you mean 10" I run 315 05R's on the strip and see no reason for concern. Somebody above said Nittos run small, I have to agree with that.
