But I guess that is why there are different tire companies because everyone has their own idea of what they like.
Damn, isn't it great to live in a country where you have choices to buy what you want!!
For a daily driver no way! If i had a choice of what the car came with from the factory the goodyears would not of been a choice at all.

Don't do 295 on the front unless you don't mind it hitting. I've put 10k on the Michelin SS 295/315 and the fronts hit if you hit a bump or dip at speed. I plan on doing a review at some point.

Continental DWS All Season 275 Fronts 315 Rears. I've put 1500 miles on them so far and driven them in 20-70 degrees F. They blow away Summer Only Tires in 3 seasons so far. I'll put the Goodyears back on in the summer to use them up.

Falken Azenis FK453, 275 in front 315 in the rear. Great compromise of performance and price.

Pilot Super Sports for me. I went up a size on both the front and rear. Stock suspension and have never had an issue with rub. Much more grip than the GYs in both the dry and wet. My car is putting out 650 whp and the tires hold it pretty good. I drive to the track with my DRs on, 305/45 18 Mickeys and don't like the way they get squirmy if you change lanes at speed, maybe due to the soft sidewalls, so I wouldn't recommend them for street use except in a straight line.

That's odd your the first, perhaps the plastic molding of your fender-wells are not properly secured. I have no issues with my 295's before or after lowering my car.

They definitely hit. It rare, and in 10k+miles on the tires, maybe it hits 5 times, but as you can see, it effects both front tires. I can tell when it hits because there's usually a bit of a rubber smell.
It does take a good bump or dip to do it. I think the first time I hit, I was pulling .9G in a tight 90deg turn doing like 50 and there was a bump in the turn and there's a bridge here that has a rise in it that causes it if I don't gently roll over it. I've had people honk at me for doing 10mph over the bump.

So just beware, it can happen. I'm not sure I'll do 295s again, but the added traction does make it almost worth it.

Right Front: top, left on bottom:

Does any company other than Goodyear make tires in our OEM sizes of 285 front and 305 rears? I could only find Pirellis. Any good all-seasons in OEM sizes?

I got a set of Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta's and they are great daily driver tires. Awesome in the rain, severe cold doesn't bother them. They wouldn't do well in any sort of competition, but if you just need some to drive on, I highly recommend them.
