Do you touch the top of your door windows?

Might sound silly.

But I am watching a Top Gear US episode (yes will never be as good as the UK one, but still better than most car shows) and these guys grab the top of their door windows when they get out of their cars or when they close their car doors.

Now I know they do not own the cars and they can do god knows what, but am I just really anal?

or do I have a legit worry to one day break the lil motor in the window that makes it extra snug when you close it etc?

Same here. No widow finger prints, if I can help it.

I'm cautious about this too. I make it a point to not move the door by the window. It might be all right but the window just seems really flimsy to use to move the heavy door.

I only touch the little black bit that is neither paint, nor window; the wife humors me and does the same thing...most of the time

I try not to use the window to close the door. I could cause to much stress in the long on the windows from sealing when close. I do not worry about finger prints on the window so that not an issue with me.

Yeah! That little tip at the end of the door!
One finger, and a push.
A good habit to have.

If I could avoid touching the outside of my car with my bare hands at all, I would.

I use the palm of my hand (no fingers) on my door handle only to close the door.

I try not to touch windows or paint work with my hands, but I did fart once in my wife's car. She wasn't with me at the time so I left the windows rolled up as I'm not offended by my own flatulence.
