what would you do? (non car related well sorta)

Ok, I'm working in the Canton Ohio area for a year in the oilfeild industry. I have a company issued semi which for the most part I live in (equipped for such) and park at the truck stop when off duty.
Typically I work approx 5-13 hours a day with an off day pretty sporadic, My 2013 Camaro ss is parked here as its my dd.
Here is the issue. It's myself and another co worker who is here working from Texas as well. We cone off 2 parking spaces to insure we will have a spot when we are done (being we pratically live here). I park the ss where I can keep an eye on it where I am parked when I'm here. The management has no real issue with this however this one particular trucker who is an over the road driver and here every two weeks has an issue with this (although there are 45 other parking spots) and tosses the cones away and parks there anyway.
He complained to management about this and management in essence told him thats between he and I.
I can never catch this guy because he pulls this crap when myself or co worker are not around (coward). We know its him from an inside source. Question is how should I properly handle this. My first thought (obviuosly) was to kick his ass but I know that is not rational and I dont want to go to jail nor lose my job. Not that it matters but he is in his late 40's -early 50's and is out of shape so the ass whooping part would not even be fair at all, help lol and thanks in advance.

Invite him out for lunch and bring it up without attacking him. Sounds to me he is just being a dick and has no other reason for doing so.

He's doing this on purpose to pi** you off, and he knows it's working.

The solution is simple: Instead of using cones, find something else to put in that spot that he physically cant move, but one that you can move when you return.

It would be even better if you find something he would damage if he even TRIED to move it (because he will try, as this jacka** sounds like he enjoys this game way too much), then you could have him charged with vandalism or malicious mischief.

Good luck!

You don't need to be in shape to pull a trigger...food for thought.

...... something that a crafty truck driver can't physically move? You didn't think that through

If he parks his car in the spot at least he can follow the two skid marks to find where it was dragged to

THIS.

I work in a WAY different field (scientist) but the personalities are the same no matter where you work. This guy thinks you protecting the car is stupid, he sees it as a car, nothing else. See if he will take a free lunch with you if you have time that overlaps, explain to him the car means quite a bit to you, it's what keeps you going, look forward to at the end of the day etc.

If he is normal but a bit gruff, he will get it and lay off. If he's an asshole, well it may make things worse.

Remember though, with the law it's usually not who starts a fight, but who wins it, that gets in trouble. After about age 17, I don't think fighting unless YOU HAVE to is a good idea. I used to box here in Lowell for years when I was younger, I would not fight a poodle now, not worth it.

Good luck.

I think some of you don't understand the situation... it isn't about his car, it's about his truck.....

Example: You live in an apartment complex with unassigned parking.
Your job requires you to drive out of town for a week.
When you leave the apartment you put cones in the parking spot near your apartment. When you get back home a week later you find someone has thrown your cones in the trash......

Or let's say your wife goes to Walmart every friday. To make certain she gets a spot close to the building she sets up cones in 'her' spot, expecting them to be there next friday when she returns.

Is that right, OP?

I wouldn't ever tell someone how much your car means to you when they have been acting like a jerk to you. Next time he might do more than throw away the cones. Best not to bring attention to the camaro w/e you do.
