Two more great 750rwhp ZL1 Builds from PCM of NC!

Hey all! I've been very scarce on the forums lately, spring/summer is definitely our busy season, so it keeps me from updating as much as I would like to!

I wanted to share two 2013 ZL1 manual cars that we just wrapped up. Some of you may remember this build - 2013 ZL1 - that I posted about a few months ago. The white ZL1 you'll see in this thread actually knows that guy - he said that he thought his car was fine when it was stock...but after he rode in that one he was sick about how "slow" (and I use that term lightly lol) his was compared to it!

No problem though...we fixed him up right. His car baselined 495 rwhp & 491 ft/lbs of torque, totally stock. We applied the same package to his Z - consisting of a Rotofab intake, Kooks headers, our ZL-Win camshaft, Advanced Induction heads, Lingenfelter heat ex & reservoir, and Lingenfelter upper & lower pullies. We wrapped that one up at 747 rwhp & 698 ft/lbs tq (clutch was getting a bit tired at the end of the dyno). Total gain - 252 rwhp & 207 ft/lbs of tq. And let me tell you...it's hot and swampy down here right about now. This car will easily do 760-770+ once we get back into fall/winter.

Here's a few pics of this beauty. More info on our blog here - 2013 ZL1.

Great idle too...

We also applied the same package to another ZL1, although he came in with a few mods already (intake, headers, lower pulley). He initially dyno'd at 580 rwhp & 558 ft/lbs of torque. We added our ZL win cam, sent his heads out, and also added the lingenfelter heat ex, as well as a larger pulley for the bottom & changing the upper too.

His gains? 168 rwhp & 175 ft/lbs of tq! Final numbers in the heat again were 748 rwhp & 733 ft/lbs tq. His made more torque on account of the clutch holding on better Gotta love the horsepower repeatability of this package though!

Here are a few pics of his car, and also his blog - 2013 ZL1.

Thanks for checking us out!

Great work fellas!!! Bad ass!! Why does the blower belt routing look incorrect on the white one? The reason I noticed it is because I'm thinking of getting that idler pulley.

Kelly it is running great. With the 4 and half hour drive back it gave me a chance to get re adjusted with the car.

Im also looking into heads, what is better between the reworked stock heads and the aftermarket ones? Horsepower difference? cost?

So far on the LSA's I haven't used any aftermarket castings. We are using OEM GM LSA's and sending them out to Advanced Induction for his porting & polishing.

I would estimate around 700-710rwhp without heads

Kelly,

I can't find any pricing, or the packages for that matter, for the ZL1. What would be the price for this package with keeping stock heads?
