Really doubt removing the engine cover will improve performance. But it does look cheesy, so I say remove it.

Remove the stock cover and add Roto-fab set!!!!

Ya, if a meteor hits your car, it will probably go through the hood, but that cover is sure to stop it.

I'm loosing mine too.

Might get an aftermarket one.. But no way the stock one is staying...

at the track BLT4SPD had his cover off , and it made me think about how much heat the insulation under it is holding on the engine after a pass, so this friday i plan to remove it before going to the track again.

saying that running the motor with out the cover will damage something is the stupidest uneducated thing i have ever heard........

ok, I haven't looked closer at what is holding the engine cover down and I don't have my car, it is at the dealer getting GFX installed.
How do you remove the engine over?
