Any reason for such fluctuation? Are you boost controlling it? When i ran 6lb springs it was 6 from 3500 to 6600.

With the 6 psi springs it falls about .5 psi toward redline 6.5 to 6.0

When you add a boost controller it is common to not hold a flat boost curve.

It hits 10.1 psi at 4000 and falls to 8.5 by redline but smooth.

If we went the route of installing 10 psi springs the boost would be more flat.

Customer wants 6 for the street and 10 for the track.

A simple "Yes, there is a boost controller" would have sufficed.
I wouldn't call 10 to 8.5 smooth by any means.

So the peak numbers are off of 8.5lbs of boost not 10 right?
Also if you put a 10lbs spring & retune would the numbers be around 700rwhp/tq to red line?

~10.5-11psi to make 700rwhp. ~14ish to make 800rwhp.

I knew ahead of time the boost might trail off. Kevin told me that with the 6 pound spring.

Can't wait to get the car back!. Thanks Ted. I was looking for flexible boost. I will not just be drag racing this car. I also want to track it and there I will be on the spring @ 6 pounds. Ted says my 6 pound power levels will be a bit softer. Exacly what I wanted as the turbos hit a little hard completely overwhelming the slippery when cold Goodyears and TC. Can't wait to wear them out.

But this extra power and the new clutch should get me closer to those pesky supercharged 5.0s. Hoping to get down to a 1.6 60' and low 11s. I can always add more power if I want. Easy with the Turbos.

The Green line on the sheet is boost.

Red is Torque

Blue is Horsepower.

10psi at peak torque and 8.5 psi boost at peak hp.

Ted.

I picked up 65 ft/lbs of peak torque over my 6 pound level. That should help push this big girl down the track.

Maybe. Dynos are just tools.

The dynapak AGP uses has always shown 5-10rwhp of the dynojet down the street, so I don't think the numbers are far off.

Ted,
If you had more octane, how much more power do you think you could have made? 20ish?
As a rule of thumb, would you say that you gain 26-29whp per lb of boost?
27.5x6=165
So 6psi more and octane could make what, 185whp more?
