Have any one raced a Ferrari 458 Italian?

I had a run in with a Ferrari 458 Italian yesterday. So I'm just wondering what you guys and gals think of them and all? Or have any one been in one or have one?

Raced with one at Bristol Dragway last year and was very impressed. Probably one of the best sounding cars that I've heard go down the track. It ran a low 11 @ 127mph straight off the street and was driven by a 70+ year old man.

How did you do against the one you ran?

Probably get some flack for this but the 458 is one of my dream cars next to a 13 ZL1 of course lol. Blame Top Gear for that.

For the price of a 458 you could buy a Z/28, ZL1, 1LE, and C7 Vette.

I'd take the 458.

458 is the best look Ferrari to date. A seriously modded Camaro could probably beat one in a straight line but would get destroyed in a track setting.

There are a couple 458's up here driving around (well not now) but I have only seen one at a car show and never seen one at the drag strip. Shame really for such a gorgeous car..

Man interesting post. I was driving the other day and had a 458 roll up on me. He was revving his engine like no tomorrow. It was stop and go traffic from one light to the next. Unfortunately I was driving my wife's Prius that day

Yea, usually when cars rev they are revving at someone.

I think Ferraris rev just to hear themselves rev.

I don't think I could resist either.

This video doesn't really do justice to the way the car ran or the exhaust note that it had but it's a video of it in action. Bristol isn't a track known for setting record times because of its air quality but you do see some nice cars there.

lol ... I ran into the 458 yesterday day too! That's crazy! I hate when you see a car testing you or that you wanna take but you're not in your ca of choice! And that was my first time seeing that car!

I got it from off the line but of course it was catching up!

I like the 458 but I love the look and interior of the 5th Gen Camaro better!

I actually was revving my engine when I was passing by him a few times but he revved it at the light ! I was surprised because he had his little daughter with him but I was anxious because that was the first car that I have went against!

Why does this only have two pipes ? The one I ran had 3 exhaust pipes.
