Z/28 Stock HP

Can anybody either confirm or deny that the ls7 is the z/28 actually makes more than 505 at the crank. I've seen dyno results indication that it's more like 545-550 hp. Anybody care to chime in?

445-455 rwhp is what I have seen ...So add roughly 67 hp to that for around 15% drive line loss so it's close so is around 505-520 crank hp ..LS7 would have to make like 480-490 rwhp in order to be around 550 crank hp I think that's a bit optimistic . .the LS3 IS in my eyes a over achiever in my book ..rated at 426 ..but my car layer down 395 rwhp stock with 330 miles in a 14 1LE trim then did a cam ..235/243 621-621 113 lsa and ARH long tubes and made 480 rwhp 430 tq......that's my take on it ...

Seems like they put down the about/around the 505 hp as they claim...there is always alittle wiggle room for most any car tho.
Confirmed by a number of dynos and all the 1/4 trap speed data

Makes sense to me every automaker undershoots the actual HP number, so the lawyer lawsuit machine does not get cranked up. Better to under-promise on HP numbers and over-deliver, than vice-versa.

Except that there is very little margin to do that when you advertise as SAE certified (like GM does). I think the engines have to be within 2% of what is claimed. Thats 10 hp on 500 ... not a whole lot of wiggle room.

Z/28's engine power certification calls for 93 octane RON, unlike most other engines listed:

And here is the main list (click on engine tab):
