SOLD MY ZL1 WHAT NOW?
Well I had a local guy buy my Zl1 for his son.It was a ADM built motor and put 711 rwhp down. I did not really want to sell it but he just would not really let me rest till I sold it to him.I got a real good price out of it or I would not have let it go. When I bought it I said I would not ever sell it when I got it because I ordered it with the color I wanted and etc. It is gone now. I have a friend who has offered me a smokin deal on a copo so I bought it today. I am going to take it to a few races then sell it but what should I buy after it? I hope that GM offers a new ZL1 in the 2016 model year or should I buy a Z/28 now or order a new ZL1 before the end of the 2015 year model stops? What do you think I need to do?

Hard to say until the 6th Gen reveal and see what we are getting. Then decide.,

Well, personally, I'd like to see a Camaro guy get the GT350 when it comes out and give an honest evaluation of it, relative to the Camaro.
You game?

ummm....You should let us know your requirements? Is a four seater a must?
If I didn't just buy the ZL1 I'd likely order a new Z06 with the 8 speed auto...No other domestic performance car really interests me at the moment |

I just got rid of my 767rwhp zl1 and bought and a z28 and plan on tearing it up at the track. This car is definitely meant to be on the track and is just a complete animal
Good luck with your decision

Hellcat, maybe? If you like to go to the strip but not the road course, that's a possibility.
If you want to do road course work, why not buy a track weapon like an Atom? Of you could do a Factory Five GTM build? Or a pro-touring build of a classic? That would be tits. Lots of possibilities. Without knowing your budget or what you want to do, there's not much I can say that isn't pure speculation. |

Um, why would you buy a COPO, take it down the track a couple times, and then sell it? YOu will lose value in the wear and tear on the car.
Also why pass up on the opportunity to do some class racing? The COPOs have done well, they seem to be pretty consistent once you dial it in. There are plenty of bigger names that I'm sure would assist you in building a tuning base. Wasn't Dan Fletcher running a COPO in stock now instead of his '69? Dave Connelly is running one also. There are also quite a few local guys you'll find with them. Sit down with them, most people love to help (as long as they don't pull you first round). I think it would be quite fun to run Stock Eliminator with one. Personally, I'd keep the COPO, register it in NHRA/IHRA, and get racing.
