Threaded Shifter Stick?

At the moment, I'm not interested in getting a short throw shifter for my car. Since the factory isn't threaded, my current shift ball is held on by three set screws. I was wondering if anyone knew of any aftermarket shifter arms that fit with the factory shifter?

I almost thought I found one with Barton Industries, but their flat stick only fits their short throw shifter.

About half-way down the page, specific to 5th gens:

Here's some from Speed Dawg. Looks you'd need both the insert to go over the factory stick to provide threads. Then you get the boot retainer to clean it all up:

I bought a Momo shift knob and used their little rubber bushing plus the 3 set screws. Thing is on there snug, I was very surprised. I honestly can't tell that it's not actually screwed on.

Downside to that is the knob costs like $100.

I have an adapter with set screws right now but I have a huge fear that one day it's going to fly off because I have zero luck! Haha.
