Gas Mileage

I am currently getting about 9-10 MPG in the city driving very mild shifting at or before 2,000RPM. I asked DynoSteve if he could tune my car for better gas mileage and he told me I should be getting better mileage than that even with the mods. He told me to get the O2 sensor tested as well as the air intake temperature tested. I brought it in to the Chevy dealership and ofcourse they were no help being that car has been modified. Has anyone else had this problem and if so, how did you get it fixed?

Don't feel bad I only have bolt on and I get 9-10 mpg if I driving alittle rough but if I drive like the law intending, I get about 11-13 mpg / 20-24mpg highway ... Don't worry about it, you have a v8 bro. It isn't a v6 where they get all mpg while you get all smiles lol

Also make sure you reset the settings and then start driving normal and see what you get

I'm doing the same thing and it's a good week when I can hit 10 MPG. I am getting less than 200 miles to a tank. I currently live in California, gas is not cheap here.

I asked this question a couple months ago and didn't get any feedback so I thought it was normal and the price you pay for driving a 6.2L V8.

How did you get a picture of your car inside a room?

This car is my baby. I had my house modified to park it inside so I can sleep near it lol.

This is a picture that was taken by the dealer. I just cropped it to get rid of the dealer info. It was in a room, it was a showroom.

Does your driving consist of light-to-light (city) driving only? If that is strictly in town mileage, I could almost believe it, but it still seems a tad low. I get about 15-17 city, 22-25 hwy. Can you data log with your SCT? I'd look at your fuel trims, and O2 sensors. Hope you get it figured out, OP.

It is strictly city driving but only a couple stop lights. I live in a small town. As for the sct, it was my tuner who told me to bring the car in. I'm guessing the sct is not able to do all of that.

Its going to be difficult to figure the problem out. I brought it to the dealership and they want to return it to stock and won't even look at until then.

I'm in Los Angeles and even with all the stop lights I get about 11-12 local and about 22-24 on the highway. I have an intake, headers, a Bo White TB and a tune.
