Please help with my Vararam install.

I'm having trouble getting my radiator brackets secured during my Vararam tune model install. I sent them an email but since it's the weekend I'm not sure if they will be able to respond before Monday.

I am trying to install a tune model vararam intake onto my 2010 camaro SS. The way that the bolts hold the radiator bracket does not seem very secure. When I turn the brackets 180° the backside has a tab coming out of it that hits a tab coming up from the radiator. This prevents the bracket from sitting all the way down on the radiator. Then the bolt is also not tight against the bracket and there is a lot of play between the bracket the bolt and the radiator allowing for a lot of movement. I tried removing the rubber grommets from the factory radiator supports. The brackets will sit flat on the radiator but then the supplied bolts will not tighten down enough to hold the brackets on the radiator allowing for a lot of movement. I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong but the fitment iss very sloppy the way I have it now. I have attached some pictures. Can you please look at them and see if you can tell why the radiator doesn't seem to fit right?

I had the same problem, and I just shaved some of the plastic bracket away until it could sit flush.

Vararam has one of the most cheesiest mounting bolt systems I've ever seen. Mine does the same thing. I've got extra washers on mine at the moment to temporarily make up that difference, but I'm going to switch it to a real spacer in the near future.

Will look similar to this:

x2. Put mine on a couple of weeks ago. Did NOT install the radiator bolts. It all fits real tight, no movement. Don't sweat it!

I shaved the tabs off with a dremel and brackets finally went all the way down and everything fit nice and snug after.

This

I know where you are coming from, it boggles my mind as well. how they could mass produce so many and sell them with so much success yet have the crappiest bracket bolt mount setup possible, that doesnt even sit correctly. I took mine off, same problem as you. looks horrible and hard to believe that is how its supposed to seat.
