Electric baffles?

Hi guys,

I want to throw this out here, maybe it's been discussed, maybe it already exists.

I'd like to get a little more sound out of my exhaust, but the local police around here are not very tolerant with louder than stock exhausts.

So, I thought maybe some type of partial bypass to let some exhaust flow out of the pipes before the muffler, controlled by a switch would be cool.

Has something like this been done on a stock V6 exhaust line? I remember seeing a video but it most likely was not stock.

Thanks!

Interesting. I don't know much about my this type of product, could someone correct me if I'm wrong?

So you cut these units into your stock exhaust and it restricts flow as if it was stock then you press a button and it is as if it was a free flowing exhaust? Where would these get cut in? Like I said I have no idea lol thanks in advance

My guess would be somewhere after the cat and before the muffler.

They don't restrict, what they are is a splitter. One end goes into the muffler, and the other goes straight out. So, when the butterfly opens, the exhaust goes straight out and not through the muffler.

get the low profiles. the y shaped have fitment issues i guess. (correct me if im wrong) but pretty much get low profiles with the turn down and you are good to go. most people mount right behide the cats at the U joint part of the exhaust.

but you are free to mount further back if you wish.
