Radio Problem: Date and Time not updating!

Have a 2SS with Boston, the time and date will not update automatically. I have looked in the manual and it says to turn on Auto Update under config. I don't have the auto update feature on the display. Anyone else have this problem?

I do also. 1SS w BA upgrade. Drove her last week and noticed date was a few days behind so I corrected it. Drove it today taking it to the Dealer to repace the windshield A-pillar and noticed date was behind again. The Dealer did not have a fix for it. We'll see if anyone else here chimes in.

I didn't even know these cars had an auto update. I just set the time/date manually because I thought it was my only option.

Yeah, I don't think we're supposed to have to re-set the date every time.

The manual says to turn on the auto update but it doesn't come up on the display.

Okay, had the Camaro out getting wheels put on today. Later my wife and I are going to dinner and she says why does your radio say 2/1/10. Damn!! Over a month off.
I've seen two other threads much longer than this with all complaints about this but no solutions. Not really a huge deal, I guess I'll have my dealer check it out next time I'm in.

Date stuck - I can't seem to edit it

I have a 1SS and I noticed this morning (June 2nd) that the date is stuck at yesterday, 06/01/2010. What's worse, I can't seem to set it or change it - for some reason, when the radio is off so only the date is showing, the Menu button no longer responds. I can't set the date or select auto-update. Very odd.

I have a 2ss...and all day today mine said 6/1/2010! I reset it, we'll see what happens. Has to be a software error with the headunit.......anyone know of a fix available yet?

There is a new program update to address the date issue. Just take it to the dealer and have them update it. Just tell them to look at "PI0136".

Yeah, there is an issue with the software that supposedly shows up if you leave your car turned off for more than 1 day when there is a month changeover. That's why this thing always seems to show up in the forum at the beginning of a month. A few months ago I was told there was an update that was about to be released, which it sounds like it has been according to thiggin.

codeman and thiggin2 2 thanks for the info, I will see if my dealer can update it for me. Since you offered codeman, any idea why sometimes the bluetooth logo does not show up on the head unit even though it is connected to my phone? I verified it was connected to my phone by placing a call, but the icon never showed up. I also get a lot of static when changing stations (popping, crackling type noise from the speakers) also happens when changing songs on my ipod. It is the cracking type of noise you get when listning to a fiber optic auido source that has a bad connection if that helps (I work on Mercedes-Benz for a living, and all of the Mercedes stuff is fiber optic...and we get the exact same pop or crackle when there is a cable/connection problem). Just thought I would ask since you offered!
