The only thing to do now is to put them in the proper category:
1. Drunk Camaro Driver 2. Pickup Driver 3. Semi Driver (Shouldn't have been so oblivious. Could have avoided these clowns and had a much shorter day). Whew... all better now.

I don't think a commercial truck driver should have to slow down or speed up to accommodate assholes that feel entitled to play their little road rage games, thank you very much Mr. Stacy.
He was minding his own business in the right lane like he should be, when the accident came he did his part to try to get that baggage out of his way. The guy ended up off the road in the grass, and trust me he could have stayed on the pavement if he wanted. It's cost him and his company money, and a mark on his driving record. Guess who gets to be part of the lawsuit if there is one? Fair or not, fault or not the lawyers always go after the trucking companies....deep pockets.

You are either dreaming or have no concept of physics if you think that truck could have gone anywhere but where it did. Better watch the vid again as that was a HARD hit. I do give props to the truck driver for holding it together however. Could have been worse. JMHO as always.

Slowing down... and then speeding back up... a big rig costs money. In a situation like that they aren't going to do it, nor should they be expected to.
Besides, if the big rig had slowed down the pick-up would have just slowed down as well. |

Going by that you would probably never leave the house, and goes without saying you would be very poor. So good thing you aren't a truck driver. Neither am I but I know what it's like to be one of those guys, piloting a land barge with traffic whippin' all around you. It's best just to be smooth and predictable instead of reactive and nervous, you'll live longer.

Hey Mr Stacy, you forgot to give one of those middle finger images to whoever dug this thread up from a year ago and got the pointless arguments going again.

1. If you're not passing, stay out of the passing lane.
2. If you're passing do your business and get in to the right lane. 3. Never..Never..Never leave the roadway, no roadway equals no traction. 4. Camaro driver's fault ultimately for not checking his ego. However, the other drivers were less than cordial.

The left lane is a travel lane too. It's not just for passing. Otherwise I agree with 3 & 4.

Many violators don't realize that the left lane is intended for vehicles that are passing – it's not a travel lane http://www.mlive.com/news/grand-rapi...are_state.html |

The Florida Highway Patrol officer who pulled me over told me that he pulled me because the left lane is supposed to be a passing lane. I was not blocking traffic or anything. I don't know how much of it was really because of that, but that's what he said.
