SPI tuned l99

Well after a few weeks of driving my car after the guys at SPI did my tune I can now give my opinion on the final result. What a difference ...the car is so much better to drive without the afm. Being tuned with my mods with the tranny tune really wakes up the car. Made 359hp/397 torque to the wheels. Now I don't consider dyno numbers to be the only performance measuring tool. The car is much faster and pulls hard through the curve. It chirps from 1st into 2nd on the street with brand new tires on the back with traction control on.I went drag racing in picton on the runway a couple of weeks ago. My old tires were still on the car and we're just plain done. I ran 13.4 consistently all day with a few 13.6s . The hellcats were running between 12.4 and 12.8. That should tell you traction wasn't great...worse for me with bald tires. I did beat a 2011 5.0 gt....2012 boss 302. My best race of the day was when I ran a 2015 challenger 392 scat pack auto. I had him the whole way down the strip till the last few feet. He just edged me out. If I had my new tires on that day I think I could have held him off. He wanted to run again I think he thought he would kill me. He just blew the tires of on the next run giving me the win. So fellas ..get those cars tuned..dont worry about the numbers. Real world is where you will see the difference. SPI did a great job on my car . Quality wirh great service is hard to find.....yep one long paragraph for your reading enjoyment haha.

I too, noticed the difference with my 2010 after they were done with it. The transmission seem to wake up from the deep sleep, and you could feel how smooth the shifts were, without hesitation. ENJOY!

I'm glad everything worked out for you, unfortunately I don't have mine anymore, but someone is enjoying it. You may of seen my thread about getting a C7 Stingray.

No but I will now. If I see you at a gta car meet I want a ride. That's a nice step up. Hope your touring around in one soon.

Thanks alot.....I bet your car is quieter....I don't mind a bit of noise. But stealth mode is very deceiving to people looking for trouble...then find it.

I was dropping my car off a couple weeks ago at SPI and me and Andrew were standing by the bay door. Meanwhile this silver SS pulls up and its looked and sounded like a completely stock car. Then Andrew says "yaaaa ,its turboed" my jaw just instantly dropped lol. Now I realized that was yours Bob
