Angry Klunking when decelerating under 2k rpm's. BRAND NEW CAR!

VERY noticeable klunking sound when engaging the clutch (pressing it in) and decelerating under 2,000rpm's. Was told by the dealer that this is drive-line slack? This is very loud and extremely annoying! Anyone had or have this issue?
I appreciate any advice that will help me figure this out.
Thanks.

Yeah I get the same thing if I press the clutch in fast at slow speeds. You'll get used to how to avoid it the longer you drive the car

The only time that happens is when you jam the clutch in hard at low speeds when the car is practically chattering and the tranny is cold. If you're in the proper gear and the engine/transmission is warmed up I've never had it do that. I don't think it is a problem. Clearances expand once the car's warm and it goes away.

ya i have the same thing when decelerating or accelerating at a certain rate then i engage the clutch, pretty much around low RPMs. i think its a normal thing for the SS cause iv read more convos on here about the same thing an they say its normal for this transmission. doesnt sound normal though since it happens when you engage the clutch it sounds like the clutch is bouncing off something or somethin metal is getting knocked around, idk hard to explain.

How can that be normal? 6 years, and no one has figured out a way to fix it? I can only turn the radio up so loud, haha

At low speeds such as parking in your garage, it has some "clak, clak, clak" sound.
I went to the dealer and said it was some tolerance thing and it was "normal".

There's another thing that makes this noise. I know the clackity clack y'all are talking about and yes, that is partly normal. My 1LE went into the shop and they found the rear axle bolts were VERY loose! I wanted them to replace the bolts but they told me GM would only pay for them to tighten them up. Have a nice day, let your next car be an import.

I have a 2015 1LT and get the same thing. I have noticed that if I keep my foot on the gas just a little to keep the RPMs up it does not make the noise. There ya go problem solved burn all your gas up to keep it quiet. haha Stupid I know but it doesn't sound like the rear end is going drop out.

I do think that a main result of the this is lugging the engine. Keeping the RPM's up should help with this, at least it seems it does with our car.

Isn't that driveline shunt? Or am I thinking of something else?

I presume you would've said if you were hearing it upon acceleration too, but I had something similar occurring and it turned out to be a busted motor mount.

Mine does it too. Usually in a parking lot. The dealer told me it was normal and the vette's do it too.
