Am buying a 2015 SS Friday, it has $2800 dealer installed wheels. The car had to arrive at the dealer with the factory wheels and tires, the dealer had to take them off. Who owns the takeoff set? Is that clear????$12,000 off, got to love the winter months and new models coming out.

The original wheels "don't exist". The dealer installed wheels are the only wheels. The ones it came with from the factory are not in addition to the new wheels on the car. Much the same as me getting Recaro's in mine installed by the dealer and thinking I get the stock leather ones that came with it originally.
I do understand what you're asking, but it doesn't work that way.

I think I got this right, from what I understood at one time was if you ordered your car with the optional wheels from the factory you are suppose to also receive what ever the standard wheel was for that model that you bought or at least that was way it use to be, it may be different now.

Seats are installed at the factory so not an issue In years passed this was discussed, but I can't find the old threads. Many owners got the original set just for asking. Dealers were selling the take offs on ebay. I know cause I bought a set for $1400 shipped for a 2010 SS

The original wheels are included in the price of the car and are not an option.

I've heard of this before, but personally never tried it. Example below.
"Vehicle add Chrome wheel option, replace standard aluminum". The standard aluminum is included in the regular msrp price. Then on the itemized list on the right side, the chrome wheels are listed with a $1,500 price accessory. I've heard guys (mostly trucks) complain they paid for 2 sets and they want the standard wheels included in the msrp plus the additional set paid with accessory price increase.

you bought the car with the wheels and tires, they are yours.. if you also bought extra wheels and tires for 2800 then you have 2 sets..
Huligan, You need to go get your SS seats from that dealer, they are yours, you paid for them and also paid for the recaro seats (unless the original seats were discounted from your recaro seats) If you reverse this thought, all dealers would take the wheels and tires off all cars before you leave "because they are the dealer tires"???? what happens is most people just do not think about it and drive off with there nice shiny wheels or recaro seats and leave the old parts at the dealer.. the dealer then sells your parts and make another 2 grand off you...
