Cam package installed and tuned will run you around $3k, depending on shop and labor/tuning rates. Grab a set of stainless power headers, theyre great and cheap ($750-800 for a set of 1-7/8") long tubes), and drop the rest on some lowering springs if you want to get the car sitting a bit lower. It's a tight squeeze for $5k, mainly because labor charges will vary, but that's the route i'd take. However, i'd be doing as much labor as I could on my own to make sure I had more money for parts lol

EDIT: Just saw the girlfriend comment, didn't read page1. In my book, if there's no ring on the finger, there's no dictation over mod budget. That perk isn't unlocked until she's out of the woods!
