Lets us know how it goes. Mine expired a few months back. The only email i got was from hooters but that's a personal issue.

I bought mine new and got the free 3 years.

Got 3 years basic activated today. I bought my car new so I guess I was mistaken when I said it applied only to people who bought used. Anyone who wants it, just do as RJT said and hit the blue button and tell them you got the Chevrolet customer gratitude email. Easy peasey.

I attempted this yesterday, but due to my car being very new and my trial subscription still being active, I was told they could not do it for me. Oh well... worth a shot!

Your car already comes with 5 years basic (Onstar App functionality). That's most likely why it wont work. Cars 2013 and earlier did not.

I have had 4 5th GENs and got Nothing Free. Looking at buying my 6th Camaro a 6th GEN. Thinking my Plates will be MY6TH

I just bought a used 12 Silverado and when I was setting up the free 3mo trial they said the app would work for 3 years even if I didnt keep it.

I just got done setting it up for my 2011Silverado 2500 HD.
Good for the next 3 years.
I still have 3 months left on my Camaro free so it would not work for that.
