Where to get a key fob for my 2015 SS

Hello again, everyone!!

The camaro I purchased did not come with a key fob, the dealership is supposed to look into that for me but i'm sure most of you know that it's not likely that they follow through. Is there a website that I can purchase one and just take it in to have programmed? I called an actual chevy dealership and it will cost me $325 to order one through them and have them program it. I did find some online that are compatible with 2015 camaro but I am not sure if it would be compatible with an SS?? I don't really know much about the keyless entry fobs.

Thanks in advance for any help and advice!

Make yourself a pain in the ass to the dealer until they give you a remote...I got two when I bought my 2013 USED

Look on Ebay. They are about $20 and you can program it yourself.

I got one off eBay and the dealer programmed it for me for free.

Sounds like you bought your car used. If that's the case, unless the key fobs we listed on the You Owe/We Owe document, you are probably SOL with the dealer giving you any. As others have said, look on eBay and take it in and get it programed.

Okay, so any key fob will be able to connect to my car? I just don't want to buy one and it end up being the wrong one? When I called the chevy dealership they asked for my vin#, made me think there is only a certain key fob that will work on my car.

Search on Ebay for a Camaro Key Fob. You will recognize it.

As others have said, search EBay (there's another place also, do not remember) and you will need a 4 button for no remote starter or a 5 button with remote starter. Take the blank key along with the original to a locksmith to have it cut with a 'laser' machine. Programming is simple you can do yourself in under 30 seconds in the car.

Put the original key in the ignition and turn it to the 'acc' (all dash lights come on, but DO NOT start the car). Wait a few seconds and turn the original key to off and remove. Now put the spare key in the ignition and turn to the 'acc' position. Wait a few seconds and remove. That's it!

***You have to put the spare key in the ignition with-in 5 seconds for the car to learn it. If not, repeat the process.

You need to have the key in the original switchblade to do it like this. Easy to do and then it's as easy to program as others have said.
