Accessory 6-piston brakes, heavier?

I noticed that the 6-piston accessory front brake package features rotors with aluminum hats. As an overall package, are they lighter or heavier than the standard SS front 4-piston setup?

I did search and didn't find anything.

6 pistons with rotors are heavier. By how much? I have no idea. it didn't feel like much more, but it surely was.

The aluminum hat can save about 5lbs from the weight of the rotor, given the the upgraded rotor is bigger - I would say it's 2-3lbs lighter than the solid version. The 6 piston caliper is bigger, but it's machined/cast with a minimal amount of material around the internals compared to the flat and bulky 4 piston.

Overall I would guess the 6 piston setup to be a pound lighter or about the same weight. It's expensive, but it's definitely an upgrade.

If someone throws them up on a scale, please post the info

I'd be shocked if the larger rotors and 6 piston setup were lighter.
