** ZL1 mod question **
Hi everyone.
I want to install the below mods on my 2013 A6 ZL1: Kooks LT headers with cats - mild 2 wild switch - 160 degree thermostat-ID 850cc - NGK spark plugs TR7ix - smaller supercharger pulley along with the tension pulley and solid isolator and belt. I drive my car on a daily basis but I live in UAE (Abu Dhabi) and the Katech heat exchanger is not recommended for the desert climate unless I upgrade the stock radiator which I don't really want to so please if you have any other brands for heat exchanger please inform me and if you want to add or remove parts from list please inform me. you replies are highly appreciated. |

Have you looked at the Afco HX with dual fans? It's a dual pass HX

If you have the $$, go with an interchiller, problem solved.

You are the second guy in the past week or so from that part of the world (DUBAI/UAE) to post.
Maybe you guys should do a Kalishnikof, Cars and Karkadeh. Peace, HEZL1VE

Maybe this can give some perspective, I a friend that upgraded his car, (not a ZL1) with an aftermarket radiator, but he did such a good job, probably tripled his stock cooling capacity, it took longer for it to get up to normal operating temp.
Not sure if that is what you were looking at doing. If you are doing a mod that that is taking away stock heat management, then an aftermarket radiator and maybe fans would be the way to go. I work with CPUs and Heat is a killer. The better the fans (CFM) the more heat is dissipated. When they started Liquid cooling ala cars, things were able to run faster, because of better heat management. Again...Peace. He's Alive
