So now we will never have any blown calls in the NFL for the next 8 years.

....so glad the replacement referee debacle has ended. I think if it went on much further after the Packer's/Seahawk's delusional "touchdown"<uhemmm, cough, interception> game winning call where over $150 million in bets were displaced, the NFL risked plummeting to the depths of Euro soccer match hulliganism if this crisis was not ended. As said, the NFL stands for not for long...... What were they thinking anyway. At least it's not a lockout like Hockey...again...sheesh....just when I got back into that after the last lockout. Oh well, there's always bowling, or poker <not>

Funny how people have forgotten why this ref thing happened in the first place. It happened because the officiating in the NFL has been so poor for YEARS.
The replacements would have only got better. |

Football officiating was never all that bad, and all the bad calls I witnessed over the years did not total the sum fiasco of the so called "officiating" over the past three weeks. It started out comically, then quickly became frustrating and game altering. It tarnished the shield of the NFL that Roger so much wants to protect. The integrity of the League was on the line. Thank God it's over. Football ref's on average don't blow any more calls than baseball umpires I don't think from my observations. At least those never ending game delays and seemingly endless consultations of confusion will go bye bye. Challenges and scoring replays helps to keep the human error factor in check. Sports Nation as a whole was in an uproar. Now, at least we can go back to yelling out our Teams for screwing up again rather the boneheaded lingerie league replacements...LOL. It was a travesty, that will have asterisks in the book. Now, if only the NHL owners would stop the lockout....hmmmmmm

so the other day I see on facebook someone that use to be part of this site post a long "story" about a new $60-$70 camaro. it will according to him have a supercharged LT4 engine. and he is calling it the Z28. I have to laugh because none of what he states about the car makes it a Z28. at least with heritage in mind. if he's right about the hyper camaro coming out then why wouldn't it be the ZL1 updated for the 6th gen?

I am said to report the death of a friend after more than 100 years. It has been years since I last sat there, though some of my very best memories... Cruising down the road with the top down and a blonde cuddled up right next to me
It is the end of the bench seat. Life just isn't going to be the same. They will never understand what they missed. |

The shifting, the girlfriend, or BOTH?! Actually, the bane of youthful "exploits" was the advent of the console. Before those (or if you didn't option the car with one), if everyone was just the right size, it was amazing the amount of space you could use between bucket seats...although carpet burn was always possible... Bench seats? Who needed a Super 8?! Back in "those days", a super-8 was something to record family gatherings...NOT allowed at the "submarine races". |
