Lots of drone

So I've had a resonator and muffler delete for almost 2 years now and ever since I put my Kooks off-road long tubes on I have a lot of drone in the 2000-2300 rpm range. Now I dont mind drone too much but Im a caregiver to some family, driving a 90 year-old to doctors appts in my racecar, so Id like to make the drone less severe. I was looking at Magnaflow bullets but I wasnt sure if the 6" #14160 or the 14" #14161 was the better choice and where is better placement for them, directly after my x-pipe or closer to the end of the exhaust. I want a loud deep rumbly exhaust, but I want to try to minimize the annoying notes in that rpm range. Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Companies spend big money engineering systems that don't drone. Curing drone in a mix and match system isn't easy. Do you have a cam and or a tune?

Magnaflow resonated X-pipe would probably do you some good! Pete is right though, curing it completely won't be easy.

I am sick of the flow master drone too. Putting stock exhaust system from the cat back when I am done with my suspension upgrades.

Solo j pipes helped me a lot. Added to SW retro catback. Wife used to hate riding in the car now no problem

The flowmaster delta force with my kooks and hf's work excellent for me. Quiet at cruise, screams at WOT. I'm picky with exhaust drone too. The only two I've found comparable is the S-type from Borla and Corsa's exhaust. Corsa is quieter cruising than my FM which surprised me, because mine is quiet.

No cam, and no tune until the beginning of the month most likely, I know tuning AFM out will help some

Some is an understatement are you sure it's drone you're hearing?

I guess I'm lucky with no drone with SLP 3" piping with Magnaflow 3" offset mufflers.

Another vote for Solo XL with J-Pipes. I've had them them for over a year with LT headers. I've made many long road trips, and at cruise its just slightly louder than stock, plus NO DRONE. The best part is that they still sound great at low speeds and scream when you hit the GO pedal.

Since you have no muffling J pipes are about it. Resonated X pipe helped me in the 2000-2400 range when I had outlaw mufflers. Get the solo J pipes as they are adjustable to tune to the rpm range you have issues with. If you don't use these then you will need a new catback with drone control. I have now what's in my dig and no drone
