Thinking of an intercooler
I am going to have to remove the nose of my ZL-1 to replace a headlight ballast shortly and I was thinking of upgrading my intercooler and adding an intercooler reservoir while I am there. My mods are 10% OD pulley, long tubes, cold air injectors and tune. I am also thinking of upgrading to an 18% OD. I forgot to add I do have larger injectors.
Question #1: with my current mods, is the upgraded intercooler worth the money and effort? Under what conditions will it help me? Question #1A: same question as 1 but with the 18% OD Question #2: If it is worth it, who makes the best value setup. Last edited by ZL1 TIBS; 07-21-2017 at 07:12 AM. Reason: omitted info |

Are you racing it??? If not you can run 18pct pulley with your current cooler... However, the argument will be if you need larger injectors and a BAP...

I do try to take it to the strip once or twice a year. It sounds like it is not worth the expense. I guess the days I do drag race, just spend some cool down time between runs?
I still like the idea of the expansion tank. What do you guys think of that? |

Tanks is way cheaper, allows for extra volume to provide longer periods of cooler fluid, makes changing fluid easier and should provide better IATs during your drag runs.

I highly recommend the Ron Davis HX and a bigger reservoir. I will hold my opinion on the Roto-fab reservoir until my current issues with them are worked out.
