Borla Exhaust Camaro ZL1 3" 2017 Cat-Back™ Exhaust S-Type installed
Borla 2017 ZL1 3" S-Type catback installed today. Fit was great and sounds good, no drone.
It isn't as loud as I imagined and would be an excellent pairing with LT headers. Tone is perfect, sounds like a muscle car should, mostly like stock but with a little more grunt/rasp under load

We need a sound clip! Looks great. Any pics of how it attaches to the OEM Parts? Just curious.

Just cut behind secondary cats, everything else uses the stock hangers. Stock hangers are used well and don't get pushed to any weird angles, they still hang straight down. Valve motors bolt right on.

Ahhh gotcha. That answer my question. I was wondering if the system required cutting the stock exhaust.

Would love to hear this. Everything I've seen on Borla says they got it right.

If you guys can come up with how you want me to record the sound (placement in distance and location) I could record some audio today.

+1 for a sound clip.
Looks great but I'm curious as to why no secondary cat delete? Still on the fence but was thinking this is the way I want to go (don't want to give up the NPP). |

tone is way better on sport. Its loud trust me, not marginal. They did a good job with no drone so the cockpit experience makes it feel quieter than youd expect.

Looks good. How does the Borla exhaust attach to the existing exhaust? Weld? Clamp?

Overall looks great, I hate the rolled tips borla uses. The stock tips look much better in your pic.
Most importantly... what is the weight savings? Also in for video. |

they use band clamps to attach to stock, the fit is tight at all connections including to stock exhaust piping (usually not so on some systems). We were going to have it tacked there but since the fit was tight we didn't bother.
