Quality control stuff.............Ask Bonnie if she has had a talk about the differences between the two and I think you will find where she found out where she got that.

My kids play a game of yellow car on the bus and got us doing it in the cars. Yellow car = 1 point. Buses on non school days are 3. Taxis are 10 points. Not a lot of taxis here. Anyway I always seem to win in the Camaro because they can't see. I rule!

I looked at the car and wondered WTF was that? Turns out it was her adjusting the seat when it got away from her because the lot is inclined a little. The seat went sliding back and she let go of the release and it ...... well...... took a few gear teeth to stop it. lol Her face had the look of horror as she caught my eye.

Well, I got in and she immediately went to appologizing and asks me if that's how you adjust the seat back and forth. I answer "Yup, you just gotta control the seat with your body". No big deal, so I start the car and I notice her figiting with the side of the seat and she's trying to stretch her neck as high as it will go to see out the car. I ask her what she's doing and she says "I can't see". She had been trying to adjust the seat where she could see out. I explain, that it doesn't adjust up and down. Now she seems a little irritated. So she goes to reach for her seatbelt and can't get to it without turning around, knees in the seat because it wasn't inside of the holder strap. Now she's got a scowel on her face. She doesn't say anything. So I start pulling out of the spot and as I come to the exit of the lot, she hits the window down lever. It makes the tiniest of squeaks as it pulled across the rubber top. I noticed her look up and wondered if I was gonna get a remark about that too but she just holds her head up as high as she can to try and see out the front and I gas on it. She's now trying to sneak her feet underneath herself to get a little higher and I tell her "No, it's unsafe"

I shared all of that to share this.

As a lot of you know, my wife drives a Lexus IS350. Say what you want, it's a great car. Rebecca had never riden in the front seat of my car but Bonnies, many times.

This is the cool part.

As I'm pulling up to the light, still scoweling, she looks at me and says, (I quote word for word)

"Mommies car has all of the nice quality control stuff and yours is just loud and fast"

THANK YOU GM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is going in my sig very soon.

"Mommies car has all of the nice quality control stuff and yours is just loud and fast" - Rebecca (12)

im assuming this was all in yall's southern accent

+ a bajillion for southern accents and little girls who like their daddy's loud, fast cars.

Through the years when I was growing up my daddy owned several muscle cars, a '67 Mustang fastback, a '69 Stingray 'vert, a '70 'Cuda and a '72 SS Chevelle, to name a few (not all at the same time of course). The only ones I could see good out of were the mustang and the cuda because I would sit on "the hump" between the front seats (what I now know is the fold-down armrest, no seatbelt laws back then). I didn't care if I could see though, I'd play with daddy's wallet or the buttons on the dash. If we were in the 'vette I'd lay down sideways in the seat and look at the sky. Every once in a while, depending on where we were, he'd let me sit in his lap and steer. My momma also had several cars but the only one I can really remember was a 1977 Cadillac Deville, and I only remember it becase it was freakin' HUGE and it was banana yellow. My sister called it our own personal school bus. It was very plush, had all the amenities and floated down the road as if on air. Who do you think I'd rather ride with?

Edit: I miss riding with my daddy. I think I'm gonna cry. :(

Well, she's just heard us talk about quality control at our business a number of times and got it confused with quality in general I think. Plus she may have heard me criticise folks for complaining about interior quality of a 400+ HP car for 32k

Thought about you when I changed it. It was so cool when she said that. She was trying to slam me and my car and didn't realize I would absolutely take it as a compliment.

As far as the interior, she was merely noticing that the Lexus interior is ahead of the Camaro. Hey, guess what? IT IS. But my point is that I'll take the performance over the bells and whistles and 'plush' any time.

LOVE IT, PQ!!!!...

Sounds like you have a 'very wise young lady for your daughter'....

She knows what's REALLY IMPORTANT about cars...

Tell her she impressed many people today on the Camaro5 forum with her 'wisdom' about our cars...

Now I will do the 'smiley dance'...lol...in honor of your daughter...lol...
