garage door opener buttons

It is hard to push the correct button at night.
If you turn on the dome light it blinds you and cant see them either.
Has anyone else had this trouble.
Has anyone installed a light or done something to help.

Yea I agree, they could have made it a little better. I have two doors programmed and often hit the wrong one. Not a big gripe, just a little ergo that they could have done better.

You could probably find a little glow in the dark sticky back button or pin of sometype at a hobby or toy store...just a thought

You better be careful, someone is going to come up with an aftermarket lighting system like what are in the door panals and we are all going to have to have it.

OMG, I hate that. I've thought the same thing. lol

I been covering the dome light with one hand and finding the button. No real biggie but ya, they could have put the buttons either on the mirror, or in front of the dome light.

Agree they are not easy to find and also agree with the post that says there are goofy people out here like me that will pay for a solution!

I just made that exact statement to the wife last night as I was trying to "feel" for the right button to open the correct door. The wife's Yukon has the same controls and hers are illuminated. I don't know why they didn't do it in the Camaro.

By the way, you are pretty near my old stomping grounds. I lived in Kerrpatch for 20 years... I used to call baseball games in Boerne...

Yeah, garage door opener buttons are poorly designed. They should have a very small blue LED inside each button to make it easy to see.

I have a three car garage and use two of the buttons. I found that in low light situations it was easiest to finger the inboard button and the outboard button. The middle button is useless because you can't distinguish it from the other two at night.

I think they took them off because they didn't pass the heat test and were too distracting...
