Anyone figure out how to remote start an LS3?

/what are the challenges? We'd have to remember to put it in neutral evertime though I know that.

Is it a bad idea?? why or why not?
Thanks!

I have had a remote start on a manual before. If you can remember to set the e-brake and leave the car in neutral you are safe. If you do not your car can start in gear causing it to buck across the area you have it parked. If in a garage you can have it slamming into the wall. If a parking lot it can buck across the lot and hit other cars or a wall, or run off a hill.
I used to remote start mine as I took the escalator to the top deck of the parking garage until I saw it bucking across towards the wall. I was able to turn it off before it hit the wall fortunately. It was a viper alarm w/ remote start on a maxima. I worked at best buy, so my car audio install crew hooked me up.

DEI makes alarms that have a setting for manual cars so that it is not possible to remote start them in gear. Check out the viper 5701, 5901, and 5902. they actually have what they call a "smart start" system which is an app for iphone/itouch to start the car. i have a 5701 in my cabinet that i just haven't gotten around to installing yet.

I had my local shop set mine up I work with the oem keyless, but after a day of calling dei, omega ect. They could get it to work but couldn't work out the arm and disarming of
the alarm via the unlock/ lock button on the dash. So I now have two remotes and hate it, any help would be great.
