2011 SS FRONT POWER OUTLET REPLACEMENT

The front power outlet shorted out when a piece of metal fell in it. I’ve removed the fuse, bought the official GM removal tool and got it this far.
Don’t want to start yanking and pulling or I’ll break the attached wire. I can’t solder for crap so don’t want to do that. Anyone done this. Help.

Does the bezel come off easily?

Just pops up, beats trying to kill the lighter socket. All the Gray Bezel pops up just be careful, you will have to move the shifter to Drive in order to finish removing the bezel.
Then just unplug the wring harness.

There are several videos on here (youtube) that shows how to remove factory gauges

Thanks for the posts above. Sorry. Got wrapped up on something. Did get the right part though after a couple false starts. See pix. I have looked on YouTube and couldn’t find one on how to remove the gauge plastic surround with an auto trans . Most show removing the plastic with the trays on a manual tranny, in order to install gauges. The base of the auto bezel is a very tight fit. Can even get my fingernail under it.
One looked promising but had been removed.
So if anyone can direct me to a vid removing the bezel from an auto with gauges I’d appreciate it.
