Unhappy Sold My Toy :(

Well the other day i ran into a old friend, and he asked me if I still Had My El Camino.. I said yeah I did but I hardly drive it. He said he looked at one the other day and was thinking about buying it but he was looking for one in better shape... I kind of jokingly said Well I would sell mine for the right price.. He said what's the right price? I thought for a minute and told him a price I thought he wouldn't accept and he said he would come by one evening and look at it...

Well the next day he was at my house, We had about 3" of snow on the ground and the El Camino was covered with it, But he wanted to look at it anyway.. So I got the keys, and went out and opened it up, then started it. He walked around the car a couple times and asked a couple questions about it. then to my Surprize he said he would take it.. I asked if he wanted to wait till he could drive it first, and he said no he knew he wanted it already... the next day he brought the money over and I signed over the title.. Well he is waiting for the weather to break and then he is coming to pick it up..
I hope he will be happy because it's his baby now...LOL

They could be had with 2 different V6's and a 305 V8 in the Super Sports...
Mine came from the factory with the 305 V8 and was a true Supersport. But I upgraded it to a 350 and a 700R4 transmission. I could burn the tires off it if I wanted to..LOL....

It is an 82 model Super Sport. it has about 108,000 miles on it but the entire drivetrain and suspension had been redone. I won't say what I got for it because many times people will either say, you got ripped off, or I would have given you more than that for it.. Just say I got more than I paid for the car and I am happy with what I got out of it...
here is what it looked like when I got it.

Actually it's the Choo Choo Customs nose styled after the Monte Carlo SS nose that was available for several years. the actual Monte Carlo SS nose would not fit a El Camino.
You could get the special edition Choo Choo Customs El Camino SS through any Chevy dealer from 86-88. The reproduction parts to recreate the Choo Choo Customs El Camino are still available, and will fit any El Camino from 78 on... they will also fit Malibus from the same years.

Nice vehicle. I had a 1983 El Camino Conquistador. I bought it brand new back then with a 305 in it. That was one of the best vehicles I ever owned. Like driving a car with benefits of a truck. I wish sometimes I still had it.

Great looking car!
