Friends, what you need to understand is that there is no (1) cheapest insurance company in America, or in any state for that matter. There are many companies to choose from out there (over 1700 property and casualty insurance companies nationwide) and you need to do some leg work to find the PROPER coverages for your risk. What company might be best for you, is probably not best for your neighbor, much less someone across the state. Auto insurance rating for most companies is highly complex, but in states where credit scoring is allowed, your credit report is, by far, the greatest determinant of your rates. Other options such as declining deductibles and first accident forgiveness are also inexpensive perks with some carriers. Also some companies offer a "new business" teaser rate to bait people to switch, only to have their rates climb after the promotional period, like the cable and phone companies. Have fun shopping people!

My husband and I have very clean driving records and we have 3 other vehicles. When we called to get the estimate to add a 2SS Camaro to our policy, they said it would add about $700 per year. We have a $100 deductible.

I pay $220.00 a month for full coverage under State Farm. When I first got it there was a $400.00 deductable. When I turn 25, it's going to drop to 190.00 a month.
Not bad,.... I thought about getting a G37 before the Camaro and they were going to hit me for $330.00 a month, and under the "popular names" like Geico, Progressive, they were charging $800.00. So of course......I went with State Farm.
