Thumbs up Great Experience So Far

Earlier this year while getting frustrated trying to find a local dealer that was not trying to gouge on price, I came across the post in this forum from 2007 that mentioned Penske Chevrolet in Indianapolis. Got in touch with Kent Bowling there (317-846-6666), ordered a 2SS from him at msrp with $1000 down in early May, and am expecting to get it within the next two weeks (it's at status code 3400 right now). Kent has been a real pleasure to deal with, keeping me informed on the status of my order every time it's moved up. He's also buying my current creampuff '93 Z28 at a very fair price. So if you're anyways close to Indy, check out Kent at Penske.

Penske Chevrolet
3210 E 96th Street
Indianapolis, IN 46240

Check with Paradise Chevrolet in Ventura, CA. That is where I ordered mine back in October (Delivered on May 27)- We have bought a Chevy Avalanche and a Camaro and they have been extremely fair with pricing. Ask for "Joe the Golf Pro" sounds corny I know but he is totally cool, and he really is a golf instructor!!! The link below is the dealer link.

I have never sold any CAMARO over MSRP !

A couple of days ago , I received an Email from a GM retiree asking me to sell him a CAMARO for way below cost . I explained that I am currently selling them for MSRP and that GMS ( employee pricing ) is not available at this time but that when it does become available I will be pleased to put his name on the list alongside mine . I also stated in my reply that as long as dealers have consumers on their waiting lists offering ridiculous sums of monies I cant see any dealer allowing him or I to buy one below cost . He said he has found dealers willing to accomodate him but that they are out of state . My suggestion was that if that is truely the case , buy the car and have them " drop ship " it to his local dealer . His reply ? " I'm posting on Camaro5 forum that you are trying to gouge me ".

Wow ! A Camaro blackmail attempt , an industry first .

I also do not know why the dealers are not willing to do special pricing for us military guys!
they make more than that, on a new car like the Camaro bigger dealerships aren't even paying close to invoice price. their goal is to make money, when it boils down to it, they don't care about us military folk. They care about profit...just real talk!

As the father of an active duty service member I want to thank you for your service and sacrifice.

I work at the largest dealership in the state of Virginia and I can tell you the information you have regarding dealer profit and dealer cost is highly inaccurate.

Just once in my life I'd like to see the books on a car dealership.

I should have gone into accounting and work for the IRS.

A guy that just re-joined our Camaro club bought a SIM SS A6 at:

Pedigo Chevrolet
5101 W 38th St
Indianapolis, IN 46254
(317) 297-4040
http://www.pedigochevy.com

Here's his quote from the club message board.

I went by Skillman to look at theirs. They had a SS/RS and wanted 3 or 4000 over MSRP. They wouldnt budge either.
I then spotted the silver one at Pedigo on 38th street. They let me use my GMS discount and I walked away before my trade-in at $29,000. Their reply was "we WANT to sell cars"!!

Thumbs down Central OKC area dealers

I have looked through this thread for a good dealer in the OKC area. Anyone with experience of a dealer in this area that sells at or below MSRP? A dealership on I240 wants you to place bids for any they are getting in. They told me "it's worth $50,000, you will be the only one on your block etc..." Thats not a good dealership to me.

I will drive to TX if I have to. I am ready to buy my 2SS
