Possible hope for CAI for California Camaros
I've been searching high and low for any options for a Cold Air Intake for my '22 SS since I live behind the iron gates of California. I sent a message to K&N asking if there was any chance they would be getting a CARB exemption and was told they can't get one because theirs is an open system.
But then I tried Cold Air Inductions and this was my question and their response.

I heard that the new SEMA garage that opened in Michigan was going to help the aftermarket guys out with CARB. Haven't seen much about it yet though since it opened.
-Geoff Edit: Here is the link. There are a bunch of Air Intakes in the database already. https://www.semagarage.com/semacertified/emissions/

They did, and you can still find some online, but unfortunately the CARB exemption only covered model years 2016-20.

SEMA Garage doesn't seem to help much.
Some information was passed along to me some time ago and a lot of this certification comes down to whoever is on the other side at CARB. If they want to be a stickler about something - unless they change their mind, if you don't make it through their hoop, you're not going to get anywhere...
