Just picked up a case of mobile 1 fully synthetic 5w30. Plan to change the oil in my 2LT/RS as soon as the snow melts. Will let ya know how it runs. ^.^

The official word is change it when the display tells you to do it.

oil life

With your car's info center, what percentage of oil life left is the computer saying you have at 5500 miles? you might find out the percentage left is higher than 50% depending on how you drive.

Yeah, I always change the oil in a new car after 1000 miles or so, then adapt a regular schedule after that.

I did mine at 1008 miles, (for break in reasons) BUT< I didn't reset the computer as I wanted to see how many miles it goes before it alerts me. Then I can better judge what to expect for each one.

Did mine at 1400 miles to get the break in oil out. Also installed the magnetic gold plug, not sure if it will really help but it can't hurt!
