Need some solution to the seatbelt cutting into my neck when I drive.

Most cars have an adjustment to raise or lower the shoulder belt but the Camaro does not. The seat belt is rather rough and it bites into my neck so bad I need to stuff it under my arm on a long drive. Very annoying.

Has anyone figured out something here or am I the only one?

Do you use the strap side of the seat?

I bought some shoulder pad strap things... that fasten via velcro.. easy on/off.

They were like 5 or 10 bucks I forget.. at a car accessory & diecast model shop.

Same as this except inside it says Chevy Performance or something instead of the above "Chevrolet".

Might be a little tacky but it solved the seatbelt discomfort for me. Feels great ! haha

Seems like you can find them all over the internet... Amazon/Ebay etc.

If you use that strap on the side of the seet with the magnetic clip... These pads will block your seat belt from sliding up into place when you unbuckle... So when unbuckling I just slide the pad down and the seatbelt slides up as it normally would.

I bought the belt pads for both of mine and the problem is gone. I got eight of them total for both front and the back seats ...

Your dealers parts department can get you an extension, I believe it's 6 or 9 inches. Takes care of that problem on any car. BTW the part is FREE!!!!

I've been using lambs wool pads like that on many vehicles. Just transferred them into my Beast when I got her Very comfortable.

I also use a CG-Lock (for adults)...really like it! http://www.cg-lock.com/

I have posted this in a similar thread...
Not sure but I don't believe it affects the function of the belt. I pull mine across my lap and then take the lap belt and shoulder belt together and twist them two times and then hook it. This allows me to "slide" the twist toward the door which holds the shoulder part in the correct position on my neck. Hope this helps

Becky,
Can you give us more detail on this extension? I've been having huge problems with the belt as well.

Thanks!
