$25,000 Cash

Hey guys. Recently our family is coming into some more money as real estate is starting to pick back up and BIG investors want to buy apartment complexes and housing.

I have about 25Gs to throw down on a car. I've been looking at a Cyber Gray 2LT that's at a lot in Garden City, MI. What I'm looking for specifically is - Color.. I am in love with the color of CGM. Automatic - Yes, I know.. I enjoy manual as well, however as a new daily driver I want to be able to relax. There is always tapshift for when I want to have some fun :P I am also wanting my dealer to paint a GFX kit and put it on. On top of that, I'd still want some USW Crossovers, or some IconZ 830Zs, along with a Metra kit and possibly the Alpine INA-W900 but those will most likely come later down the road.

What do you think I can take home a 2LT with added GFX kit+paint for, with all the money up front?
I also plan on PM'ing this thread to Becky over in woodhaven, however Gordon Chevrolet is only 5 minuntes compared to woodhaven being about 30 minutes.

Any input would be appreciated, or if I should just put it all down on a 2SS, but that might be pushing it.

A 2LT, Automatic with Ground effects MSRP's at $31,175 and with discounts comes to $30,221, those prices are including the destination fee. Unless you are in the military that is about as cheap as you'll get on a new one.

The cost to paint the GFX varies wildly from anywhere from $600-$1,500.

Out the door, depending on your tax, tag and title rates you may come out as cheap as $32,000 or as much as $36,000. These prices are well in the SS price ranges. My automatic 2SS/RS with rally stripes out the door is a little over $37,000.

Ouch. The tag price on the 2LT is 26320 or something like that. I'm pretty sure I can steal it for 25 flat if I show up with a bunch of Benjamins. The car has been sitting on the lot for atleast 6 months now. Michigan has A LOT in stock, so I'm sure I'd be able to get more of a 'deal' than someone in say.. California.

I would get a 2SS. 2LT's are cool but drive a 2LT then drive a 2SS before buying. I am sure you will want the 2SS.

Not with the options you said you wanted. You got almost 4 grand listed in options. Auto tranny is $1,200 and GFX is $2,300 and the MSRP on a 2LT is $27,725 ($26,875 + $850 destination). A base 2LT manual with NO options with discounts is $27,157.

You're free to go here and build one to your liking to see what the price is with discounts. http://prod3.gmautobuilder.com/Build...riceformula=SU .You MIGHT get one for $500-$1,000 below this if you qualify for further discounts but you won't get one for $25,000

Oh, I'm not disagreeing with you. I'm just saying the car is already below MSRP. Thank you for all the good information as well!

Sorry, must have missed your post. I agree, completely. Ain't nothing like having that extra power under the hood. If I were to keep the V6 I would look into the STS Twin Turbo, however right now a warranty is needed xD

When I first started reading this, I thought it was one of those Nigerian scam spams.

We will see what I can get for it. I don't see a problem taking home the one for 26 on the tag for 22-3 cash.

They prefer you to finance over cash, they make money on the financing.

Yes, but as we all know money talks. Not everyone can offer that much up front. I'll be keeping my options open, say I put 25 down and decide to get the 2SS.
