Does anyone have any recommendations on a fun gun to shoot that is affordable (Under $1,000 would be great but $2,000 max) and won't break the bank to burn 100+ rounds though in an evening?

To give you an idea here's a list of guns I'm currently have or am working on getting

2 AR-15's
FN 5.7
FN Scar
FN PS90
FN FS2000
AR outfitted for 6.5 Grendel
AR-10
Savage .223 rifle
Benelli MR1
Keltec PMR 30

Lots a Guns

I have a bunch, but here's my two favorite.

Top: S&W 29, 44 Magnum, Hunter Classic (note the non-fluted cylinder)

Bottom: Glock Gen 4, Model 23 in 40 S&W

Both are nice guns and great shooters.

Both my wife and I have had concealed carry permits for several years. It's great to be an American!!!

You can't beat an AR15 for just under $1000. Up to $2000 would give you a very nicely equiped and/or high quality AR15. At approx. $5.00 (or less) for a box of 20 rounds of steel case ammo (the cheap stuff), it is both fun and affordable to shoot. I have/had several AR15s and I also own an FN Scar 16. The Scar 16 is expensive to buy ($2400 average NIB) but cheap to shoot as it's a .223/5.56, which is the same cal. as an AR15, yet a much better rifle overall in my opinion.

I got a Mossberg 500, pretty cheap to buy, totally reliable and fun to shoot. I go buy a box of 50 shells at Walmart for about $10-15 a box. Its been a while since I've bought any, not sure how the price has changed. Get that and a box of clays and have fun

That is an M1A in a VLTOR modstock. a SOCOM I/II typically comes with a fixed stock.

I have a scout/squad unfired BNIB Springfield M1A in black waiting for my son to graduate high school. I have thought of getting a SAGE EBR stock for it but I will probably leave it as is and let him do what he wants with it.

So.... I got my dads old 16g Mossberg bolt action. Needs to cleaned I don't think its been fired in quite some years. It has to be at least 40 yrs old. The clip is missing from it, I need one.

What model is it? It should be engraved either on the receiver or the barrel. Even without the magazine, it would still be capable of firing by loading a shell at a time by hand. However, I would have someone knowledgeable with firearms go through it and clean it up.
