grinding gears?

how many times can you grind the gears before you have problems. i am a new driver and usually just at the last second grind them. i have put 400 miles on and done it 4 times

Yours sounds like a clutch issue... Grinding gears won't make a smell. I'd keep an eye on it.

yea as soon as i hear it i obviously do all to stop it. I usually push the clutch in and throw it into neutral and quit giving it the gas. i think it just sounds worse than it really is
