It's settled then....
After much debate and research on both the Airaid and Injen CAI, I've decided on......
NEITHER.... After talking with Chris and Glen, gonna go with the ROTOFAB once it comes out for the V6. The down side? Patience is a virtue not bestowed on me.. But certai. It will be worth the wait!!

Well....I personally would go with the Injen and did. V-6 or V-8.
The V-6 version has plenty of data to support it's gains and I think it is well worth it. It will be weeks/months to get the same data for the Roto-Fab or CAI intakes for the V-6 once released In the end it is your decision. |

I have to agree with the others. Lots of data out on the Ingen CAI. Its the top dog of the V6's.

+1 Would love to see someone set-up a poll for CAI, to see who has what. INJEN all the way. Only one independently tested that showed some gains.

I've read that there have been quite afew issues with the Airaid and that Injen was by far the most popular CAI. As far as gains, I'm not seeing that one over really produces a significant amount over the other..correct me please if I am wrong. I hear through the grapevine that ROTOFAB will be producing a V6 CAI within the next couple of months. I have checked out a ROTOFAB on a V8 and it was quite impressive.

Just my 2 cents............I can understand people staying patient in their choice of CAI. But I wish people would stop saying "That company does awesome work on the v8, so v6 will kick ass too" Blah blah blah........its getting about as annoying as the vuvuzelas.
You can't make comparisons between the v6 and v8 aftermarket products. There are 2 cylinders missing in the v6 you know? If you are looking to wait till Rotofab rolls their model out because you want to see what their numbers are, thats cool. But there's no reason to think just because a company does great for the v8 that it will happen for the v6. Examples: Vararam, Lingenfelter's Supercharger, SCT and Diablo Tunes.

Go with what pleases you. 4hp and 6 ft/lbs is not a huge enough increase to claim injen as the almighty one so you can't convince me otherwise. I could understand if we were driving in the Nascar Sprint Cup but we aren't.
And I'm used to driving big blocks with massive amounts of torque, I just realize it is what it is. I may soon be throwing the juice at this baby to try to make up for some of the lack of torque. |

Airaid works great on V8s but, they had to redesign the tube for the V6 due to HP losses. I bought the Injen because it drops below the heat in the engine compartment....heat rises...most of the so called CAI's are high and close to the engine.....there has to be heat up there and therfore less oxygen. The Injen rides low in the fender well. Research what others are saying and pay attention to dyno's and actual runs. Injen has been proven over and over. Most considering CAI's have concerns with water flooding the Injen...so far as I know that's not been a problem with Injen CAI owners driving through storms or large puddles of water. My Injen CAI looks good, sounds good....I'm happy!

Thanks for the vote of confidence. We are planning to dyno test the V6 CAI this late this coming week. While we've had good success with the V8 intake, we do realize the V6 is a "different animal" as one member stated it. We do have a very popular and proven G8 V6 intake on the market which is a very similar application. Between our experience with it along with our V8 Camaro intake, we are extremely confident this system will give us great results.
