Seems like most of the trans problems have been with the 2010 cars. Not much mention if any of the tranny problems with 2011s.

Mine has the 2nd gear issue. Grinds like crazy. And is a 2011. Made 09/10 according to the door sticker

I'm frustrated and am going to demand a full replacement with clutch ill let you know. Appointment on Tuesday

Sorry to inform you but that will not help.. It will make the grinding less visible. I had mine replaced they just returned the car and guess what it still grind like there is no tomorrow.

Dude seriously give it time. It will not frackup for the first 7000 km on most cars. Trust me do a fast shift when the car has more than 7000km and you will grind.

Mine was not grinding anymore with the old clutch but the trnany was locking.. New clutch it grinds but at least it does not lock.

Yeah I know but what else can we do until the recall if a recall occurs. I am going to ask service manger if he can find out info on what CAMARO11 said about a future recall. I am drafting up a letter to my attorney general tonight which everyone should copy and send to theirs as well

ive been reading bits of this thread for a while and as far as i can workout (after driving my friends 2010 camaro LS) my clutch is crap. its just REALLY stiff and hurts my back to drive sometimes. and it grinds going to reverse all the time.

i think i am going to take my friends car into the dealership with mine and make them test drive both of them and then have them tell me what the problem is.

good idea?

Dude trust me there will be no recall even the customer service account on this page denied it.. Go back a few pages. If you really want to bug them then I suggest posting a link to this forum like i do on GM 's facebook wall.. Trust me.. It works sort of..

Make sure you ask them nicely for example:
I have a camaro and I suffer from the grinding issue when will GM have a fix for it?
Here is a reference:
Insert link to this thread from camaro5.
I have already posted both on their wall and in their forums.

Forgot to mention I already reached executive level support for my car. I am pretty sure they would have told me if there are any remote plans for a recall.

Yes ... I suggest posting videos on youtube and GM facebook page on their wall..
2) I am willing to bet you have a busted syncro in the tranny like I did. Do not quote me as I am not a licensed mechanic.
3) Call GM customer service.
