the problem is w/ the test is that this requires a tune.

It earily reminds me of a stock intake...
Hmmm, Maybe thats the reason I only have the SLP tube on my stock (MODIFIED AIR BOX) with Donaldson filter

How is this like stock? The inlet elbow is MASSIVE and flows way more air than stock, it has a billet velocity stack which really helps with the power gains, and of course the hi flowing air filter

Well I have the larger donaldson tube on my car now, The stock box picks up air from the stock inlet tube on the side of the box just like this one does.. I do agree the filter and stack they are running could help some...

Time will tell which systems are the best,..
Dont get me wrong this is nice piece from LSR..

In the end I still like a sealed box, EG STOCK AIR BOX
I closed off my stock tube on the side of the box to seal better than GM did it and I also smoothed the upper lid but I do not have a stack attached to the box so again I dont believe my setup is as good as say the LSR..

I am going FI and didnt wanna spend a ton on a CAI...
LSR seems like a good company, I am sure there CAI works well

in the hood open test, two runs give numbers of 382/382 and 384/382...are these before the tune? i was just confused because they were runs #1 and 3.
Thanks!

This is information that we got from our manufacture of the filters.

First, the Power Stack filter utilizes a unique inverted design to maximize airflow and filtration by substantially increasing the surface area of the filter. Second, the base of the filter incorporates Advanced Air Flow (AAF) radius design for smoother, uninterrupted airflow. The inverted top and smooth flowing base design provides better airflow & filtration than filters of similar size
8 layers of cotton media, compared to similar competitors 4 layer.
Manufactured:
In the USA
Filtering capability:
Up to 99.6%

HEY Guys

Listen up. LSR is the real deal

Real R&D , Real Machine Shop! I toured the facility in Pompano florida , which is small compared to their more Northern One.

Aldo and the crew there, were professional. Likeable fellows. I met the Vice president of LSR...He took the time to talk with me .

Their mechanics are more like mechanical engineers retweaked my suspension with their
trailing arms and toe links ....and installing my Pfadt endlinks.( correctly)
they were also solving issues my other shop couldn't cope with.

these guys appear to be problem solvers as opposed to just parts replacers.

From sales people that are kind and knowledgable and the Mechanics working carefully and skillfully around my car. To management that saw a stranger walking around there facility....Eager to know what AMerican car i was having work done on.

If your in the Pompano Bch area or anywhere near the turnpike in FL.....they are easy to get to.

i used another shop for my performance gains and i'm pleased.( they are very very good as well)

i will be using LSR for balancing my car out......need to add methanol, coilovers and beef up my brakeing power.

They do superchargers ( whipple and Maggies and Novi's too..)/ heads/ cams/ headers./ pulleys/ underdrives...well you get the picture...suspension brakes.....i don't think there is ANY area.....they don't do.

CAMARO/ MUSTANG / And CHANLLENGER GUYS ----You'll have no trepedations about leaving your car with them.

The mechanics are thinking balance while you are thinking HP. What good is 500+ rwhp if the suspension /tires or brake are not up to the task??

They are right here....off the turnpike in Pompano bch.

Check em out.

I'f they ask me....i'd let them beta test my CTS-V so they can have a heads up on the Z28!!

All in all a very good first impression. A+
