CTS-V vs 2011 GT500 PP on Road & Track test
Just goes to show auto's rule the 1/4.
BTW their GT500 driver sucks. I got better times in mine 12.3 and it was my first time at the track with a rwd and a manual no less. He did get .5 mph better then I did though Hopefully Ford will wise up and put a cutting edge modern day auto in the GT500 once they see the z/28 and 4 door Cadillac killing it in everyday acceleration. Yes I know Evan Smith ran a 11.9x in the slower 2010 but that was at a prepped track in optimum conditions and 11.5x on MT's. |

^ True that, did you see how much the Caddy gained on his slow 1-2 shift. I can occasionally power shift 1-2 but I definitely do it on 2-3 and 3-4 at the track.

Was the GT500 driver sand bagging a bit then?

OK, I think you are just making a comparison with the GT500 to the anticipated Z28 being as the V and the Z are suppose to have the same or similar engines. Im saying that because the V is about $13.5K more than the GT500 and wouldnt even be a race if you put that in the GT500. With that said, I think the Z will be considerably more heavier than the V right?
