Whenever you take your car in for service, they will remind you. It is in the computer. You will either get it done or sign the waiver at that point.

I didn't have to sign a waiver either. For those of us that hold out I'm sure there will be a better looking remote available in the future.

That's the worst part, they are trying to be cheap by butchering your switchblade and giving you a cheap key.

You keep your fob after they knock the switchblade out. The key is similar to a silverado key. Sorry, I don't have a picture on my computer.

I would just call the dealership and tell them you need to make an appointment for it, but you lost the letter.

Now there is no reason to go out and get a new wife just because she threw the letter away lol!

it doesn't matter if you have the letter or not, it's all by VIN. the letter is just their way of notifying you.

Probably too much trouble to get a new wife just because she threw away a letter accidentally....give her a break on this one....

A few months ago I had oil change done and the service advisor reminded me of the key fob recall. I declined politely. Last week I had another oil change done and the service advisor told me this time the recall is going to be mandatory (I received the letter) and if not done they will notify the DMV and I won't be able to register the car next time.

Don't disparage the Peoples Republic of Kailfornia. They serve an important purpose. If it wasn't for them, the rest of the country wouldn't just how good they have it.
