2ss Auto Trans question

Is it normal for the car to feel like it is in 5th or 6th gear when going about
20-30 MPH? My car feels like it goes through its normal shifts, but seems to go in too high of a gear at slower speeds. RPM at 40MPH is about 1K. is this normal? I go into manual mode, and it does not seem to bog down like this even in 4th gear at 20MPH.
Anyone out there experiencing this or has experienced it?

Yes, it is normal. Complaints go to the EPA...

You are probably hearing the low groan of AFM (4 cylinder mode) kicking in. You're definitely not in 5th ot 6th gear at those slow speeds...

It is all ment to save fuel & hit those big mileage numbers. Put her in M and let the trans shift itself and she will feel better but still run in high gears. If you want to go full tap shift use the buttons and hold her down in 4th or 5th, but say goodbuy to 20 plus a gallon.

Yup. Perfectly normal. I'm quite certain it's not 'Bogging Down'. If it is you better take it in. The power is there instantly if you need it.

What the hell are you driving a Camaro 20MPH for? Mine does the same thing, so it must be normal. I used the paddle shifters today and it did help. It feels a lot better at 1,500 RPM.

No complaints here about MPG. I switched from a GMC 2500 duramax. Less MPG and more expensive fuel (not to mention 10 qts of oil). Diesel is even more than 92 octane here.
