Parking lot camaraderie
Just wondering if anybody ever intentionally parks next to other Camaros in random parking lots...like "You got my back, I got your back" kind of thing? My wife was with me the other night and I parked right next to a 2012 SS and she asked if I always did that, and I hadn't even noticed before necessarily but was like........"Yes, yes I do!" Anyone else?

No, I'll put this delicately. Most Camaros in my area are V6's that either belong to college kids or have been ghettofied and I don't believe those people give a crap about their cars any more than their classmates who drive '88 Accords.
But if I see some people who obviously take care of their car, even not a Camaro, I might try to park next to them if I have to park next to someone. My disclaimer is that I'm not saying all people who drive V6's don't give a crap about their cars. I'm saying college students who didn't pay for their car don't give a crap about their cars.

i will sometime or just park in the general vicinity of it (across or few spaces down). i also do this for other Camaro competition and well kept vehicles. it's less worry about dings.

Maybe it's the Brooklyn in me, or having family that are NYPD, but I stay away from other Camaros because I expect them to see parts on my car and go shopping while I'm in the store.
I also generally park like Clark Griswold (National Lampoon's Vacation) and park really far away to avoid careless people dinging my car. My buddy just told me a story of how his one year old 911 Turbo got scratched almost the entire length of the passenger side. The idiot collecting the shopping carts lost control of his convoy of carts and ran them down the side of his car. If I can help it, I try to drive my wife's SUV to stores. I don't care as much about that car.

As above I keep my Camaro out of parking lots, unless I'm in it and I do park next to other "nice" Camaros!

camaro grouping
I too have parked near other camaros recently in a Walmart parking lot but still leaving a space between the cars. There were two cars both black and v6's 1 a 14 and the other a 5th gen. When I returned the 14 was gone.

Ever drive a Corvette? If you do, you will experience a brand/model camaraderie. Camaro owners just aren't there yet...though I have tried evert time I pass one. In the meantime, I try to remember not to take this stuff too seriously.

very true, the corvette group is a whole other breed, kinda of annoying at times since im 32 (half age of most vette owners) and id rather race it than wash it n go to car show. very good at times though as they will look out for you.
